The past month has gone quickly, so this post will be full of pics. The biggest event was Pop and Mike's birthday at the end of October: Pop turned 70 and Mike turned 35! There are a few pics of the festivities below. Hannie's sense of style is featured in these first few pictures. She told me recently, "Well, you look suitable." Whew, what a relief.

And I have to finish with some quotes and memories I've been accumulating...
Bethany has been calling me Miss Brae for a while now, and she has two imaginary friends: Cobbly and Weeso. When she misbehaves, she blames it on her invisible buddies. "I didn't did dat. Weeso did dat." Or if she doesn't eat her dinner, "Cobbly and Weeso don't like deze beans."
We had lasagna this week. Bethy kept calling it "Elzanyo" which was interesting, but I didn't realize until tonight that she was confusing
lasagna with
Almanzo (Wilder) from our most recent read aloud book. She thought their names were the same:
Elzanyo.
Charis and Hannah's pretend names recently have been Tuna and Moona, which literally cracks me up every time they call out to each other in loud dramatic voices, "TOOOOOOONAAAA!"
Charis told me this week, "I can't get enough of Daddy! I get more than enough of you, Mommy."
And finally, Hannah said, "Mom, we don't have enough money to buy a house. We just have enough money to buy bubble juice and stuff like that." Then, she held up an empty pimento jar with this suggestion, "Maybe we could stock up our money and
try to buy a house."
