The Best Day

This birthday was great!  We picked flowers, the girls wore fancy tutus to Walmart so we could buy bologna and cheetos for lunch, we painted nails, we trimmed bangs, we played outside, Daddy brought home Chinese takeout for dinner, and the kids wrestled til they were worn out.
My 3 little ladies
Pointing his toes, trying not to let his legs touch the itchy grass.  His crawling outside was more like a bear walk today.

This was the "before" shot from his first haircut.  The "after" looks exactly the same, so I didn't bother snapping another pic.

Taking a walk on this beautiful 70-something degree day!

Our tomato plants from Pop sprouted!  Let's hope we can keep them alive & pick some 'maters from them this summer!

Welcome, Spring!

We're so excited that Spring has finally arrived.  It's getting warm outside, the daffodils and crocuses are blooming, and the kids are ready to get winter wiggles out!

Charis & Hannie are playing so well together lately & doing great with their schooling. They love to dress up and play imaginary games or dollhouse. Nathanael's crawling like a champ, but still not pulling up, standing, or walking. He and I started some walking lessons today to help him move along. :)
Bethany enjoys playing with her big sisters for a while, then getting into someone's pack of gum, or sticking her hands and dolls into someone else's water glass, or doing other mischievous things..."I'm sorry I pee pee on the ground Mommy. I loooove you Mommy."

We hadn't been skating for a while, and when we went this time, Hannah was SO tall on her skates!  I can't believe how much she's grown right under our noses.

We asked them to stand back-to-back so we could compare their height.  They automatically took the opportunity to strike a pose, and both of them said, "I'm Elsa."

Charis & Susannah are good buddies.

Than Than the Birthday Man

Our handsome guy turned one!

He had 3 guests at his party. Pop was scheduled to come, but he got snowed in at home!

Slapping that piƱata!

Mmmmm, treats.

Please let me eat cake. Please give me cake. Please.

YES! CAKE! Score!

Happy 1st birthday, Baby Bubber. True to your name, you are a gift from the Lord.

Eight Years!

Today was a big day in Nathanael's development.  He started saying "Mama", which adds to his vocabulary of "Daddy", "No", and "Gukky" (Bogey).  He also started singing his first song.  My initial reaction was wait, what? Did he just sing what I think he sang? (Sung?) We knew for sure when he kept chiming in with the girls' Frozen solos...

As of today, I've had the pleasure of being married to THIS GUY, the love of my life, the man of my dreams, the "Daddy Monster" of my children, for eight awesome years!

BoyBoy having a rare serious moment.

There we go, that's more like it.

We made a pinata for Nathanael's 1st birthday on Thursday!

This is one of our better anniversary portraits, taken by a 5-year-old photographer extraordinaire.

I'll end with Bethy Michael's quote of the day today, as she forcefully opened the baby gate and released herself from the living room, "Don't locka me in de dungeon!"

Some Pics!

I haven't posted pics of the kiddies in a while, so this will be a bunch of random ones. We have a big week coming up with lots of things to celebrate, so stay tuned for more! :)
