Big Girl Turns Four

Uncle Pete surprised us on Friday and dropped in to give Hannah these necklaces and a bag full of ring pops (sharing optional) from him and Aunt Sally!  It kicked off a few days of birthday fun.

Our Hannie turned four.  We've had so much fun getting to see her personality grow as she gets older.  She's creative, free spirited, funny, incredibly imaginative, sensitive, nurturing, and just plain fun.  She loves to hear and tell stories, create original flower arrangements (or weed arrangements, whatever the case may be).  She has an eye for beauty and is the first to notice every new tree blooming in our yard.  Pink is her signature color.

She sported this aqua tutu to Chik Fil-A on her party-day as Figgy, Pop and Daddy took the kids out to lunch and to Richmond for some fun.

We did the chicken dance, we did the hokey pokey, it was a full day of fun.

Yesterday, Granna and Grandaddy surprised Hannah for a special birthday visit and dinner!  She had a fever, so it really cheered up the day to have our surprise visitors.

Little Swimmers and Pizza Makers

Charis and Hannah started their first swimming lessons this week! On Monday, there were tears, screams, refusals, and lots of sitting on the edge of the pool. By today (Wednesday) they were laughing and jumping into their swim teacher's arms!  Little Bethy and Than stay with me on the other side of the glass windows and have snacks.

Havin a blast, Mom! These ladies played outside by themselves today while I stayed in to wash dishes. Are they really this BIG? I'm going to cry!

Happy Father's Day!

The kids and I might be biased, but I'm convinced Mikey G is the greatest Daddy in the world! Case in point: the girls made him a tie dyed shirt for Father's Day, and he's wearing it at the moment. :)

We also honor our amazing Grandaddy and Pop today.  We love you SO much! So thankful for Daddies.
