Little Sarah!

Sarah Grace Gilbert, 9 lb 6.8 oz., and 22'' long!

Our newest beautiful baby is here, and we couldn't be more thrilled! Everything went well with her delivery. She has us lovestruck and fascinated all over again with the sweetness of a new little person. And oh, the warm squishy cheeks to kiss!

Figgy came the day before my induction and stayed with us for 5 nights. It was wonderful! Mike took the entire week off. In his spare time, he ripped out all the shrubs in our front yard and completely re-planted the front beds with Mom's expert gardener input.

The day we came home from the hospital, Aunt Sarah and Pop stopped in for a fun visit. Later in the week we got to enjoy a day with Granna and Grandadddy. The special visitors made baby week even more fun and memorable!

Mike's back at work this week. The kids are easing back into their school work. We're figuring out a new routine with FIVE kids!

A few more moments!

This post should catch me up to the present!

Cub is in training to be Bogey.

Sweet friends from our school group had a diaper shower for me!

Surprise packages from Uncle Steve!

Goodbye toddler bed, hello baby sister roommate.

Easter Sunday... I'm a proud Mama looking at all these little loves!

Squeezing in everyone's checkups.

Go away, snow!

Than and one of his best buds Joseph have matching t-rexes.

Now stay tuned for the blog posts I create from the hospital while I am bored out of my mind with too much quiet time having to sit in bed!

Catching Up on Winter

Tomorrow is our scheduled induction for Baby Girl! Before she comes I have to post an update on what has been going on around here since Christmas. This will be tons of photos with probably much less commentary than usual!

Way back to Christmas time - a very homemade nativity scene the girls made.

SO much fun with Uncle Jon & the boys!

Celebrating Christmas with my side of the fam!

A cozy moment in school

I got to take each of the girls on a date so we could spend some one-on-one time together before the baby comes. It was so special to focus on them individually! We had chik fila and some shopping time.

Pop took Bubs to his first basketball game at JMU. He was super excited about the hot dog and Sprite!

Little artists

SO happy that spring has sprung around here.

Charis started piano lessons this year! She's doing so well and making great progress.

Bethy & Mommy date

Studying the terra cottta statues from China at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts field trip with our homeschool group.

We took them all to a Monster Jam show in February. It was an interesting experience...

Middle-of-the-night donut snack for everyone after Monster Jam!

Nathanael turned FOUR this year! He's getting so big, especially now that he's going to be a big brother. No more toddler bed, no more booster seat at the table, and becoming more independent after being the "baby" for so long!

The girls and I went to a play in Richmond for one last hurrah before baby. It was the musical Cinderella, and they loved it! Nathanael and Daddy had some man time. This all happened on our eleventh wedding anniversary, which got somewhat overlooked in all the busyness, but it was still special to think about how far we have come together!

He had been SO looking forward to that "four" candle on his cake, but he ended up gettting sick to his stomach before he could enjoy a bite!
