We celebrated Charis' 6th birthday last weekend! I can not believe this girl is so big now. It seems like yesterday that our lives were changed forever by becoming parents, and we lived with Figgy and Pop for a month while we adjusted to the new fact that sleep, showers, and date nights are no longer rights but privileges! We love this girl so much. She enjoys snuggling, being Mommy's helper, dancing, skating, swimming, playing pretend, and she's doing great with her school work. She is such a nurturing big sister to her baby brother and loves to take care of him.
This is what happens when you have blueberry poptarts for a birthday breakfast, followed by your own bottle of soda at 10:00 in the morning. It was a wildly fun, sugary day. :)
Soda moustaches - can we tell who had grape and who had orange?

Aunt Sarah, Figgy and Pop surprised her the day after her birthday for another celebration. It was such a fun afternoon.

These are my grocery helpers when I dare to bring all four children to the store with me. As long as we open a box of carbs to pass out along the way, we're good. (Cheez-its and animal crackers work great).

These two can be found snuggling on the couch every day when Nathanael gets sleepy.
