THREE!

Bethy turned three, and she taught herself how to make the "th" sound just in time!  She was very excited about her birTHday this year, and she asked several times, "Mommy, am I three now??"

This little cutie is sweet, cuddly, giggly, full of mischief, and so comfortable in her own skin.  She thinks she has long flowing hair, and often asks me for "a big, big bun" when I fix her hair in the morning.  She loves to dress up and play babies, and her name lately has been Rose Rachel.  She hasn't yet seen a picture of herself that she doesn't love.  Happy birthday, precious Bethany!  You add so much to our lives!

Pre-birthday burgers

Birthday morning with baby "Layla Carson". The day before her birthday, she picked a huge box of Crunch Berries off the shelf at Costco and came down the aisle hugging it desperately, so that became birthday breakfast.

Party time!

She was too excited to eat anything but the chocolate cake...

...she blew out all her own candles this time.

Precious girl.

Selfie time!

Nathanael loves trucks.  "Buck! Buck!"

Some fun play time with our buddies, Ruth & Daniel.

These girls were making up dance routines in the yard.  Big girl stuff.

They usually dress themselves...  they generally do a good job... although sometimes there are ensembles with a lot of personality!  In response to gentle suggestions regarding the position of her socks, CayCay told me, "Mom, this is just my thing."  This floral skirt is Hannah's favorite item in the dresser lately.

Handsome Than getting his haircut!  Either he is the best behaved, most self-controlled 19 month old on the planet to sit so still, or he had a little salon assistant handing him unlimited tic-tacs.

I have to end with a couple of hilarious quotes from Hannie.

(Telling our neighbors about her first boat ride with Pop at the beach)...
"We went with our friend Pop. He's...like... our great great Uncle or something like that."

(Talking with Mommy about some food items in the kitchen)...
Me: What do we get from cows?
Hannah: Milk.
Me: Yes, what else?
Hannah: Meat.
Me: Yes. And sometimes hot dogs.
Hannah: WHAT?!  I never seen a cow lay a hot dog!
