Rainy Days

I do not know why this space is here, and I do not have time to fix it :(

Just when we thought we were out of the woods with sickness, little Hannie got a high fever today.  So I think our cold is back for round 2, and we just hope it won't involve pink eye this time!  Oh well, the past couple of weeks have been rainy and gloomy anyway, so we might as well be cuddled up at home.

The big girls finished their spring semester of music class with three sweet performances.  Hannah learned how to read her note on the staff this semester.

We had a fun time when Figgy came for a sleepover!  She took us on a Cracker Barrel date.  The kids get green beans and mac and cheese so often that even Nathanael was able to order his own meal from the waitress!

Hannie has started writing her first little notes, sounding out the words herself.  They are so precious I'm trying to save as many as I can.

Uncle Steve & Pop came to our rescue!  They came one day to shock the well and install two amazing filters that make our water clean & yummy.  There was a lot of uncomfortable time spent in the crawl space, and it took a long day of hard work.

Charis learned to ride a bike without training wheels while Figgy was here!  She picked it up so quickly and now she's enjoying the freedom & the wind in her hair when we go for walks. :)  She's starting to help me more in the kitchen which is really fun for both of us.  Sometimes dinner prep involves removing the frozen pizza from the plastic and placing it inside the preheated oven; other times dinner prep is slightly more involved.

Hannie has such an eye for beauty and loves designing things. Weed arrangements, drawings of hearts and stars and pretty little girls, and more.

Charis came down with pink eye last week, and we had to get her some medicine asap before it spread.  Mike took the big girls to urgent care and waited forever to be seen, then they had to get an almost-midnight snack on the way home.

Bethy dresses herself with her unique sense of fashion, and she loves to play with hair.  Maybe she'll be the family hairdresser one day, who knows.  Lately she loves to sneak off by herself and pretend to read books to her babies.

Charis loves crafts, and that includes re-purposing trash, so she made this interesting hat out of old jammie pants that were heading to the rag bag. Sorry Bubby!
