Catching Up

In the past month we've had some great visits with family and field trips mixed in.  Now we're prepping for a fun, steamy summer.  Here are some pics to catch up.

This weekend is the homeschool convention, also known as Mommy's Vacation.  Mike has the day off from work on Friday to babysit, and Granna & Grandaddy are coming to help with the kids. I'll get to spend two straight days at the conference, shopping for curriculum, learning from the workshops, planning the school year, and catching lunch with friends. (Wooo hooo!) I know home school isn't for everyone, but I am so loving it!

Charis' birthday list.  See if you can decipher.  I'll have to post Hannah's also when I get a picture of it!
Finishing up preschool, and she'll start kindergarten curriculum this summer after she turns FIVE!
Snuggling and watching Little House with G&G
We've been enjoying every break from the rain we can get!
We had a girls' date to Panera while the guys went to Home Depot to buy a grill!
Nathanael lets his sisters [try to] hold him when he's upset.  Really getting too big for this, but it's hilarious.
The rain stopped long enough for us to pick seven pounds of strawberries at the patch!
School is fun when you can read to your sisties.
Almost eye to eye...
Bubby is still getting his homemade hair cuts, but I think I do a pretty good job!
We had a field rip to our friend Jean's house where the kids collected eggs, fed the chickens, and saw a rabbit set-up with baby bunnies (but didn't learn just yet about the whole idea of harvesting rabbits... eek!) Bethany took this photo, obviously.
We had a great time in May on our trip to Harrisonburg for a few nights with Pop and Figgy!  We went to the park, the children's museum, and the frontier culture museum.
We got to see Aunt Sarah, Uncle Steve, and Dr. Judy!
The big girls and I went by ourselves to tour the Frontier Museum. They're so pretty!
The sheep had a really loud, somewhat creepy BAAAA
And petting the goats was literally Charis' favorite part.
Snugglin' in Pop's chair.  Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of Figgy on this trip... she was probably too busy cooking us those amazing dinners!
He loves the ambulance at the children's museum!
Pretty little Mama could have played all day in the kitchen
How could they resist dressing up as princesses??!
